So I'm working at a hostel in london, dont want to do any plugging here but its only like the best hostel ever.. :greenguy: :greenguy:  Anyway I work in reception and I went out on a limb today and called a tour company. I explained that I am a receptionist and asked them what they could do for me. The long and short of it is I am getting a basically free daytrip to Paris! Eurostar, morning tour of the city, lunch, everything.. I just have to foot a booking fee thing. They wont pay for my afternoon of shopping either, but c'est la vie.  I think I will survive. And I have a tour of southern Ireland lined up, think I might go late next month. Brussels and Edinburgh are in negotiations. I wanted to be based in Londres so I could travel, but I didnt realize I could do it for next to nothing!  Anyway. Everyone should work in a super cool hostel.

Damn.
I'll tell you about my super kick-ass job...
I work as a sous chef. Its hot in the kitchen, the hours are long, and the pay sucks. I do get a free shift beer, and get 20% off my tabs at the bar round the corner... not to mention $1 domestics, rails and house wines for me anytime...
But Damn! Damn! Dayum! :D

joker that sounds great if your a alcoholic--------kidding  good drink in a good atmosphere theres nothing better
belle i think you have a great traveling job...cant believe you get to do all that ----i think most people are jealous i know i am---------i bet you get some great stories from the travelers at your hostel and maybe some horror stories also im sure........you should get a web page with photos of your travels...would be cool to see

Yeah steph that is whats so cool about London! So cheap to get everywhere. I had plans of doing little trips to places I missed while backpacking.
I've got friends that have been to Ireland, Iceland, Ghana, Czech Rep etc on those cheap flights. Tell us about your future adventures when they're booked!
