Angry

For weeks now huge forest fires have been burning thru out my province. A few weeks ago about 60 homes burned in the town of louis creek. There have been numerous other fires as well that have threatened towns (like kamloops). I woke this morning to find out the third/fourth largest city in my province is under attack. 1/3 of the population of kelowna has been evacuated! 30,000! and hundreds of homes are thought to be lost. wah!!!!! mother nature

Unhappy

that's normal,

atleast that was what the u.s. forestry service told my mother when half of florida burned two years ago. the forest is supposed to burn up occassionally. not very comforting, eh. the fires then ended up burning to within a quater mile of her house, thats like half a click for you canadians. in times like that about the only thing to do is hope that you haven't pissed off the almighty one upstairs, because fires like that are completely unpredictable.
maybe its time for a weenie roast. i'll bring the marshmallows.

Question

Dio, its bad isn't it?
I don't remember fires of this magnitude here ever.
A friend of mine's dad lost his place in Lewis Creek, my aunt was evacuated out of Barriere, and now Kelowna. Geesh!
We keep looking at ptoperties in the interior on mls.ca and are wondering if they are even still standing.
Wanted to go visit my mom in the Kootenays, but my youngest has asthma, and I didn't think he'd hold up too well.
