Alright, I am sure there have been posts on this before, but I chatting with jake online and got to wondering if you had the chance to live in different places during your life, for at least one year, where would you want to live? I mean traveling to places is awesome, but living in a place gives you a whole other experience...

I've lived all over the US, in Canada, and southern Europe, and now in Belize, but I certainly plan to live in other places in my lifetime. Here are a few on the list (in no particular order):

England & Ireland - because them are my roots!
Peru
India and/or Nepal (since Tibet would be almost impossible)
Alaska
Russia
somewhere in Africa & Asia...not sure where yet

I'm sure this list will grow and change, but that's where it stands for now...

Hmm, that's really tough...probably too many to list but here are my few of 1/2 per continent/general area of the world:

Cairo
Spain
UK or Ireland
either Maine/Nova Scotia/Quebec
Brazil or Chile
NZ or OZ
Japan or China

WELL!!! Seeing as how I am in high school I'm taking advantage of a year abroad!!! My junior year! I'm going to Portugal!! I'll live with a family, go to a public high school, learn Portuguese, and make Portuguese friends!!!

Actually....it isn't exacly "official" yet, my parents are still talking about it. But, if they say yes I can go!!

Other then that I would love to live in:
-Spain
-Greece
-.....umm....Portugal!!! haha
-French Belguim
-Brazil
um....that's it really, there are tons of places that I'd want to visit for long periods of time, but not really live there for a whole year, those places would probobly be Dubai, Cape Town, New Zealand, Turkey and Buenos Aires.

Ryder that sounds awesome; I loved Portugal! I have to say I just looked at your birthday and you just may be the youngest person on the boards now? Before it was Rozza I think? Not meaning to give you a hard time but it was weird seeing "1990" as someone's birthday!!!!

In high school I always said I wanted to live in Germany for a year.

Ireland, probably like Dublin or something.
Spain , Valencia or Alicante... being on the coast...ahhh.
Philadelphia, USA and Colorado
Czeck Republic , for some reason it just draws me , don't know why.
Australia , east coast.
China , probably in the south away from the big cities of Beijing and Shanghai.
St. Petersburg , Russia

and more I am sure

The list is waaaaaaaay to long to even begin. But for all those thinking of Ireland, do it. If there is one thing that makes shitty weather bearable, it's great people and you won't find better people anywhere(in my opinion), than Ireland

I'd love to live in Italy for a year or more...along with, let's see:

Scotland
New Zealand
Iceland (I'd HAVE to see the Northern Lights at least once, if I lived there!)
South Africa
somewhere cool in the South Pacific
...and I'm sure lots more!

I'd love to live for a while in California... I think that state has a power that words can't explain...You just feel good being there.

But I have this attraction for the USA. I just like the american style to live.

My list would probably expand after I've been to more places. Right now, these would definitely be on the list:

Paris
Vancouver, BC
Nice
Spain, but I've only seen Valencia and Barcelona so far
Munich
England/Scotland/Wales/Ireland, but I haven't been to Scotland or Ireland yet
Cairo-- haven't been yet, but I have two friends living there who love it
New Zealand-- haven't been yet

I was only in Ireland for 10 days but don't think I spent more than an hour NOT being near an Irish person(pubs'll do that for ya). Drive on the wrong side of the road? No problem they just point to the other side of the street while you're bearing down on them like and idiot. Buy an Irishman, or -woman a drink? You have a nights worth of conversation. They just rock in every sense of the word

Good stuff I've known a few Irish folks, including my Grandparents, so I know what you mean. Sounds like you had a great experience over there....I will...one day!
