like I've said, anybody in a band?
My band is out of function at the moment so I'm feeling kind of sentimental (needless to say, I'm missing my groupies ). We're playing screaming hardcore political punk (is it possible to use any more unappropriate adjectives?), it's just us girls in the band (read:we're never gonna make it). It was the best time of my life while it lasted. We even toured Europe once.
No, I'm not showing off why do you ask...I told you I was too sentimental about it.
Any similar experiences?

(just curious, ya know... )
Anyway, don't give up on your dreams....may everything work out for you & your future musical career...

Oh, it was one of those demo bands, nothing special or famous.
It's so nice of you to say "don't give up on your dreams". Now I understand why you guys are so connected here. Thanks.

jesus, if I had a nickel for all the musicians that have worked for me... Actually, a few of my friends are in a pretty successful band that's toured the country several times -- Blue Sky Mile. They're actually really good and *fantastic* live. They tend to attract the "tragically hip" crowd, though.

Well, I'm not in a band, per se, but I am a part-time musician.. I have some clips of my lamer stuff on my web site, as I'm waiting 'til I complete more of my fully-formed songs (w/ vocals and all.. scary!) in the future..

I jam with a few friends, anything short of a band...but we're known for drunkin' accoustic shows at a few parties

i've got a political post hardcore experimental weird band called kennesaw ( www.myspace.com/kennesaw) and a jangly indie pop band called superfallingstars ( www.superfallingstars.com).
if it wasn't for them, i'd probably travel a whole hell of a lot more.
then again, k-saw is gearing up to tour again so that's a benefit. we've yet to go overseas to play though.

I've just been on kennesaw site and listened to the music you guys play. You do sound really good! I would classify that music under "emo core". You probably hate that labelling, it's so ignorant. but on the other hand, people always say we're playing either crust or grind. and we like to think of it as just political hardcore. when are you playing europe? what venues? who knows, maybe we'll see each other

i haven't played in a band in a few years. but i've been playing percussion for 12 years and bass for little while, and i wanna start taking guitar lessons. i'd personally like to start something soon though, i really want to play bass cause i'm enjoying it so much but it's so hard to find a drummer here. i'm thinking of picking up the turntables too. just about anything music related interests me.
what do you play Campina?
