Article written by Jonathan Valania, whom I met recently at a local show in Philly (during Death Cab, I believe).

It also features an interview with Zita, who works at AKA music, which is owned by fellow TP'er - Carisia's boyfriend.

Small world eh? (Yes I'm totally bored this Tuesday night.... )

*tear. I miss my Philli meetup family! Are you heading to any concerts this month (Aug. I know it's not this month but yea whatever). I'm going to Warped Tour and a OAR concert. Don't know if you listen to that music or what not but figured I'd check.

Hey Emo Girl,

Our musical tastes appear to be somewhat similar; this weekend I'm going to Sarah McLachlan first, then Cure/Interpol/Mogwai on Sunday.

Thereafter, I'm not sure yet. There are always good shows that pop up around this area; I'll let you know which ones I'm headed to.

cheers,
-r

BTW tomorrow night there's a free show by My Morning Jacket at Penn's landing, although I'm not sure if I can make that...

I know I'm so mad I haven't had a Thursday off this month so I've missed all the free concerts! I wanted to see Sugarcult a few weeks back but I was in Michigan. Damn family vacations.

Anywho, my friends usually drag me up to Club Shampoo on Wednesday for Freak Night or whatever. I usually sit in the '80s room and laugh at people. It's fun. If you're bored on a Wednesday night let me know and I'll hitch a ride with them and we can dance and make fools of ourselves.

Ya cool,

I'm usually free on Wed nights anyhow, so if you come up, let me know which night you'll be around town..

This is kinda late, but before I go to Sarah McLachlan, there's a "punk rock flea market" at the 1st Unitarian Church this Sat, at noon. (22nd & Chestnut).
It oughta be fun; it's not just punk paraphenalia but all kinds of things new & old, punk or otherwise, sold by cool people in "da scene".
