I'm so happy knowing that all my hard work of bathing in my own filth, soaking in my bodies natural grease paid off. Now I'm getting all the recognition I deserve.

Those are three really great stories.....

Building a log cabin in the bush...

Living in an airport... (how exactly did that work bro? seriously? you were broke so what did ya doabout food? eat scraps from the food court?)

and,
Building horse jumps in a navy survival training island......

Mad props to all of you.....I dont think I've ever been too long without some kind of bathing routine....I almost always travel somewhere where there is natural water sources...I mean i live in Florida...A freaking Penninsula with lakes, rivers, and ocean everywhere......Probably about 4 days, when I went to a week long party at my friends house.....

well I had money, not much, but I had a few bones. There were a shit load of us travelers stuck there because at the time United had only one flight (842) leaving Auckland per day (now United doesnt even fly there anymore (Im pretty sure) ). We could have gone to the Fat Camel (hostel) but it cost 10 bucks to get there from AKL and we had to be at the airport every evening to try and get a seat so that was out of the question. United gave us a section upstairs by the windows to camp out while on standby and even dished out some sandwiches now and then so it wasnt to bad but Im quite a clean person, shit I work for a bank so I have to be, but that 2 and a half weeks I felt closer to rambo than ever before, washing face hands and feet in the sink daily, it was tough but in the end a great learning experience and good times with new friends that I still e-mail to this day.

so in the untraveling worlds view, I was broke with only 80 bucks USD, but in my eyes I was wealthy in smiles and good thoughts. They wouldnt understand

They are lucky you didn't flip out and start setting booby traps. I don't know if I could have taken being stranded at the airport for two weeks straight without going a little criminally insane.
