How to stay in Europe for longer than 6 months
Ive been on my Eurotrip for almost 3 months now and Ive met a beautiful Polish girl living in England. We now have a flat together, however after returning from Poland yesterday I was given a 3 month visa coming back into the UK. We want to stay together and travel around Europe. How can I do this with my US passport? I arrived in Dublin on Dec 17 so I have already spent 3 months in the Schengen zone so now am I basically stuck in the UK for 3 months before I get kicked out of Europe? I know how the 90/180 day visas work for Europe and Uk but is there a way to stay a year or more? I even have a decent job under the table working as a painter. Im in love, in Europe, and worried. we want to travel all over this summer to different european countries. if we travel by bus/train/hitchhike will my passport get checked? any ideas suggestions??? Oh and going to the states is not an option. I love it here. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

ireland is NOT in schengen nor is UK
hope u enjoyed poland : )...however many days u spent there is all you have used of your schengen time
I'm guessing you only spent what a week there? so you would have almost three months free for the summer
Its pretty much impossible for US citizens to get a working visa for countries in Europe. Usually its for "highly skilled" people or people working for some type of big intl corp. That type of thing.
Do you have a four year degree? If so you could always try to get some kind of TEFL cert and teach English in Eastern Europe.
My final suggestion may be a little extreme...I don't know your exact situation...but if things go well over the summer...you guys could get married?
If you should need to know this...if u cross borders by road ie hitchhiking there are no border controls.
Good luck

i would say call the american embassy. you may find there is someone cool working there that can help you out or tell you what you need to do. it definately wont hurt, and if they say no and ask you your name, tell them jorge mayorga.
also i dont know the rules on this, but if you left the EU on a trip to say Egpyt or something equivalent and then came back, i would think it would be treated as an extended vacation and some country would renew your 3 month visa. or theres always the black market fake passport route....

Yeah if you just do what many travelers do and make the hop over to Morocco you'll likely be fine....

This means Ive only used 4 days of a 90 day schengen visa!!!! Also since we do about 90% of our travelling by hitchhiking so thats is also a plus. Not too mention marriage is an idea being tossed around....
Thanks Lizzzzzzzzzzz!!!
I will link some pics soon
