Saw some of it. It's interesting, but from what I've observed and read, the "one man produced show" doesn't have any hard facts or evidence on anything he presents.
Proceed with caution...

very interesting. i have read quite a bit of this. i forwarded this along to a few people i thought might find it interesting.
my one complaint, is that it seems to be defensive in it's presentation of information. i grew up catholic, my family is extremely religious. hell, my step-dad is about to be ordained as a deacon. i am agonistic leaning toward atheist. this all aside, religion is a good thing for many people. yes it has been the root of many...MANY evils. but it has also been the root of alot of good. as much as i agree with the information this film references, i don't think that any piece of intellectual material is worth alot if it doesn't consider both sides. so, the sensationalism, i think, takes away from his points.
still, a very interesting piece. thanks for passing it along and i will be passing it along as well.

I did enjoy this when I watched it I think last year. Of course I am always intrigued by conspiracy theories and such.

Bill Maher and his new movie Religulous is fantastic. I highly recommend it.

Religulous was a great movie. The only thing that irked me was that there was no laughter from the theater full of PC types for any of the islamic stuff while there was raucous laughter for the Christian section. You should really be prepared to laugh at all of it if youre going to a movie making fun of religion!

There's also a sequel to the movie out. I didn't like it as much as the first; to me it seemed like they were selling the Venus Project (which is currently selling their research facility).
I really enjoyed it - but like everyone else has said who knows how true it really is.

Well, on the official website, i think something along the lines of www.zeitgeistmovie.com he does provide his sources in a works cited on the page, as well as responds to people who wrote him with criticisms or questions.
Hands down, the religion section is where he dominates. The 9/11 conspiracy shit and the one world government shit at the end are ok, but the religion section is a much more concrete argument. Most of the shit from that section is taken from a classic work by Sir James Frazer called "The Golden Bough".
That is an anthropological piece that breaks down all religions to what they are at their basics, prehistorical attempts at explaining the world and bringing babies into birth and making sure the crops don't fail. I would recommend reading it for sure. Also, if interested in ditching the useless baggage of religion, Religulous is a good start. Even better would be to pick The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, God is not great by Christopher Hitchens and the End of Faith by Sam Harris. Three books that pretty effectively destroy arguments for religion.
