Kudos to all who have loaned, I think travel helps to build the sense of solidarity from which micro-lending organizations get their strength.

We haven't worked with kiva, we go through Catholic Relief Services www.crs.org

Bump...

I just got back the final amount from the first loan I made - paid back about 3 weeks early as well.

I love that it is a loan rather than a gift as you can help more people with the same money - off to decide who to lend to next now!

^Awesome, Amanda! I need to pick someone by the weekend. Times are tough, but these loan amounts are small and will make a huge impact to the borrower.

Great job!

Im on my second loan now as well. And i just joined the tpunk group cuz i didnt not it existed before!

I think everyone just do this! Its a L-O-A-N people! So after six months (or whatever the replayment plan is) you can either get your money back or reinvest. And its only $25. I currently have $400 in the bank right now so if i can do it then YOU can do it!

Amen to that, Jillio! The 2 women that I loaned to just got their money and a re-payment plan for them has been established. They must be thrilled. I know that feeling when the loan money comes through!

Also, checking towards the bottom of the page of the borrowers, I love how you can see how people from all around the world came together to make these peoples dreams of building and expanding their businesses come true.

C'mon people! Join the TPUNK Kiva.org group.

We help peoples travel dreams come alive here so let's take it a step further help people around the world make a living and perhaps create jobs in their communities! As a bonus, they'll even pay it back!
