^cool. i'll find you on the TP group.
tried for 4 miles today and that wasn't too terrible. that would put me at 4 miles a day for 5 day (20 miles a week). i think that would clear the 1000 in a year goal.
yeah, i don't get sore from running anymore, maybe it's a sign i should up the intensity.
thanks for the tips!

^ It's half the battle. Getting over that lung burning battle. I don't feel that anymore. But I do feel like I need stronger legs. I feel that my legs fail more then my lungs. They start feeling weak and sluggish. I run about 4-5 km's and then I'm like yup I'm done!

I'll send over the list as soon as I'm done the new one and its working well. I do it on Google but I'm sure you could export it to Excel if you'd rather save it on your own computer.

Completed the Philadelphia Marathon this past weekend. Took me a little longer than I had wished (3:53:05) but still an overall positive experience for my first time. Especially because it was 19F/-7C at the starting line.
I'm in the red vest, turning around in front of the Art Museum around the halfway point.

Well done Matt, really good job!!
If I'd run a marathon and someone took a picture of me at the halfway point, it would probably be a rather unflattering shot of me sprawled out on the ground crying.

ah! so freakin' cool! cold weather is sometimes a blessing for running though. congratulations on that! ever thought of doing an Iron Man?
the seattle marathon is this weekend. i have a few friends running in that. i think that it is still way out of my league. i'm happy when i can run 45 minutes straight, not 4 hours! maybe next year after this 1000 mile thing. which i've been keeping up with, i've run 46 miles so far.
thanks for posting about your run. it's inspiring.

Congrats on the marathon! Wow what a mental game that is. I wish one day in the future I have enough fitness and balls to run a marathon. Do you stop at all? Or did you run the whole thing straight thru?

Wow, under 4 hours on the marathon! That's awesome, Matt!!! My time, back when I ran the Columbus Marathon in 2002 was 4 hours, 46 minutes. I also missed my goal of 4:30...oh well. I did it, though!
And Jill, do you need me to be your personal trainer...? Beth, running 45 minutes is very good. I run by distance, not time, and do 4 miles every other day or so (schoolwork sometimes gets in the way, though).
My plans are to do another marathon at age 49...my own way of spitting in the eye of "50"...!
