My mom told me and I was just like. Wait whaaaaat?

I mean, I didn't particularly like her, but it made me want to cry.

You just really don't know what's going to happen to you tomorrow.

It's so sad.

Heres a link for those that missed it.

How strange, but then again, anyone who's seen her show can say that she was definitely troubled. Take that along with the years of drug use, rapid weight changes and the loss of her son, it's probably a given that she simply couldn't take it...

What a strange existence. It's sad to hear, really. As someone else noted, I feel bad for her young daughter. More tripe for a future E! True Hollywood Story.

Its always shocking when a celeb dies, but really, if you had to make a top 10 list of celebs under 40 who might kick the bucket anytime, wouldn't she be near the top? She had been and probably still was taking high quantities of ephedrine (which used to be in Trim Spa). Mix that with some coke and god knows what else she was taking and it is surprising she lasted this long. Never mind that her creepy lawyer/husband/whatever was probably slowly poisoning her (and probably knocked off her son too) to get at her fortune (that is just too good a story to be true).

Anyway, I feel bad for her baby daughter. That's about the only sympathy or feelings that I really have for this situation. She was a leech and I guess this ultimately goes to show that you reap what you sow.

This is a sad story. I met Anna Nicole when I worked at the Ricki Lake Show. She was on the show to go out on a blind date with a guest. As weird as she was, she was very nice and so friendly.

With the year she has had, losing her son, never ending legal battles, birth of baby, supposed drug use...I wouldn't be surprised if her poor body just wore itself out.

It is always sad when someone dies so young.

agreed that it terrible for the daughter, but hopefully it's the last time we'll ever have to hear about this person.

It's ridiculous how she made a living basically being a constant whore and people feel bad when she dies all coked out. It's about time.

It's sad and all, but I think it's ridiculous that's its dominated the news since it happened! I woke up this morning and every news channel was still looping the same stock footage of her...

With everything that's going on in the world, does some coked out B-list celebrity dying really deserve 24/7 coverage!?

yeah, you can call her a bunch of stuff - a drugged out ex-model who inflated like an emergency dinghy right after she married her billionaire, but frankly whore is pretty denigrating and considering what the girl had to work with, she did well enough.

Of course, she fell victim to the same things many do in those circumstances - drugs, people who used her and a series of bad relationship choices that left her despondent...

What part of leaving your husband at 26 to marry an 89 year old billionaire doesn't scream whore?

My aren't we bitter - she was married to Billy Smith at age 17, gave birth to a son, and he left her shortly after - I would assume that it means that the marriage was over by the time she was 26.

As to her marriage to the 89 billion year old, well - the Supreme court actually ruled on the status of their relationship - and their opinion is that Anna Nicole Smith (Vickie) ≠ whore:
Quote:
She divorced her husband Billy on February 3, 1993, in Houston.[citation needed] On June 27, 1994, Smith, age 26, and Marshall, age 89, were married in Houston. This resulted in a great deal of gossip about her marrying him for his money.[citation needed] Smith maintained she loved her husband and that age did not matter to her.[citation needed] Despite considerable speculation that she married the octogenarian merely for his money, a United States court found no truth to this:
“During this time period, Vickie had hundreds of thousands of dollars in her checking account. In sum, their lives were intertwined in need, driven by greed and lust. Nevertheless, the Court is convinced of his love for her. J. Howard referred to Vickie as the “light of my life,” and the lady that saved his life. His relationship with her provided the happiest moments of his last few years. He considered Vickie his reason for living, and the joy that she brought him undoubtedly helped him live another four years. There is no question that he showered her with gifts, that he sought to protect her and provide for her. The Court is more cautious about her love for him. J. Howard became Vickie’s knight in shining armor. His help propelled her to the highest levels of stardom, something unimaginable for a girl from her background. She cherished the protection and security that he afforded her and the lavish gifts that he gave to her in order to win her affection. J. Howard used his money to get Vickie to fall in love with him, and in her own way, Vickie loved J. Howard.”[8]

Now, personally, I'm of the opinion that all the woman had going for her was looks, and she marketed it for all she could get. By the same token, she wasn't the brightest star in the sky there, so the relationship offered by an 89 year old guy that lavished her with attention and gifts probably was sufficient for her.

She is a human being, whatever she was while she was alive. I think that alone merits respect.

I don't agree with anything she did to gain her happiness, but she tried. So R.I.P. Anna Nicole Smith.

I feel bad for that poor baby! And come on, you can't say the woman wasnt absolutely devasted after her son's death. I am sure hers snowballed from his. Hopefully that paternity test they want to do will at least put the baby in a good home and not with Anna Nicole's white trash mother

hahahaha...sorry I didn't realize she was such an important role model to so many people. Not to mention the great contribution she made to the all important celebrity community.

I didn't in any way mean to knock someone thats dead...and by no means does anyone deserve to die...but give it a break.
