The proponents of the end of the world style of thought must love this shit. 86 dead and thousands missing or displaced. What the hell man!?

I am really suprised that this is getting such little attention in the news. I have heard almost like nothing about it. I am hearing almost nothing abour ir the papers or on the radio. I would have figured there would be more.

Yeah i havent heard much about it either. I heard about it yesterday from my girlfriend but the "news" channels are covering israel/lebanon/ww3 so much they havent even given it a thought which is terrible because obviously its an area of the world that needs some attention to this grave problem.

much love indonesia...

that is so sad that they could have warned people, but no one really did anything.

I've been getting quite a lot of tsunami reports, But probably cos I get Oz (and UK news) and after 2004 Tsunamis are a whole new disaster.
I was thinking though is it just the extra reporting or are the Tsunamis (and earthquakes) becoming ALOT more frequent?

Is anyone here into geology type stuff that can give some news?

I know they are a bit more consistant than I had though. I went to the Smithsonian lat year and they had a section that showed them all. Actually, it looks kind of like this:

Regarding the Indian ocean area. for the whole listing, check this out:
