To answer the questions...

~The prime suspects are some thieving little bastard dominican kids that live in the complex beside mine. To list their recent accomplishments...breaking into four condos, slashing various car tires and throwing fish hooks into the swimming pool. None of this happened at the complex where I live because we have armed security, but my parking lot however is pretty close to where they live.

~Yes, it is right through the paint.

~I haven't decided yet if I am going to get it fixed. My thinking is that if they did it once, they will do it again. Therefore not worth it to fix. But at the same time, it looks really terrible...So I am not too sure on the answer to that question.

This is the first really bad thing that has happened to me here...and as much as the car is not a beautiful brand new car...I still feel pretty violated and pissed off.

well if you don't get it fixed buy some touch up paint (any Color) I know it looks bad but it will keep your car from rusting.

yeah. it's all about the touch up paint.

I finally got to a point in life where I am pretty chill with crap. I was semi-pissed when my car was broke into and my TRAVELPUNK backpack was stolen but you just gotta roll with the punches and not let it affect you.

blow!

yeah, my car got keyed about 4 years ago. 3 long scraps across my front hood. i never fixed it. my car's just fine and i still have it. i was pretty pissed at first because the car was only a year and a half old, but i figured...i lived in a ghetto nieghborhood (chicago heights and riverdale at the time)...maybe it will keep people from messing with or wanting to steal my car. there's a up side of everything.

although, if anyone ever keyed our brand new subaru outback, i'd be really flippin' mad. our other car is just a geo metro.

I would have!! thats is soooo lame!! I hope you're feeling better... I know it can be pretty annoying to have bad things happen to you when you're in a foreign country and the culture gap is huge. At least you're not the only one who was harrassed by those twerps...that would have been worst... like they were only after you...

Ignorant & bored teenagers can be such idiots sometimes!! (<-- Wow... that made me feel soooo old!)

Edited to explain better...

That happened to me about 6 months ago, luckily my car was old and crappy and I was planning on getting a new one anyway. But I was dumbfounded that an adult would do that to a total stranger. I apparently parked to close to this chick's car in the Safeway parking lot preventing her from getting in. She left huge deep grooves in my paint, then left a note calling me an asshole.

Brooke, get a good heavy set of rubber gloves, then attach your battery's positive (the red one) terminal to any metal on the body. Next time they touch your car they get a nice 300 amp wake up call...

Well, okay, maybe I'm a bit crazy but that sucks. Really sucks. Invest in a bb gun or a slingshot with some ball bearings. That'll teach them!

that sucks!! My beautiful brand spanking new ute has been scratched a couple of times over the couple of months i've had it, i was pissed, but then i realised it's just a car, it's replaceable. However, the scratches on mine aren't nearly as bad as yours, if someone did that to my ute i would be absolutely fuming
