I am a seasoned traveller of the South Pacific/North America. But now that I've come to the UK with my working holdiday visa, I can't seem to be able to open a bank account. You need proof of address to do this, and for the national tax number. How or what will will satisfy the banks? I can get a provisional license if I give up my Canadian Drivers License ID. or they will accept bills but I just got here so I don't have any and I'm living with a mates family for free. Any ideas or tricks that people may have used to bypass this would be very helpful.
