London?

I had not planned on going to nor had interest in London during my excursion but alas decided to because of economical air fare reasons. Since I am headed there I figured I'd spend two days before i shot over to Brussels. Anyone have a suggestion of a decent area of London for Pubs and such. I'd like to get a hostel in that area and loosen up before I head over for what is to be the main part of my trip (Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and Czech). i am really not into the site seeing in London as much as I will be in the other countries, more the drinking scene I s'pose. 2 nights and out.
