who out there has been to pisa? whats your impressions of it. my plans changed for my trip and i was wondering if anyone has anything positive/negative to say about it and more specifically if anyone has any hostel reccommendations or recommendations of things to do/see or just cool places to chill.

I've heard it's starting to fall down but if you hurry up and get there this summer it should still be there....

pretty cool to have a look at i guess...i was only passing through on way to florence for a hour if that. good to get a few funny photos..pushing it etc.
asian guy did a handstand with it in the background and it looked like he was on top of it.....turned out really good for some reason. i didnt get a chance to climb it but if u get time id do that for sure

i wouldnt say go out of your way though, but if u wanna go to florence or rome call in

It's kind of a novelty type of place...if you only have a short time in Italy, I think you'll enjoy yourself more in Cinque Terre, Rome, Venice, Amalfi Coast, Florence, etc. I've been to Italy three times and haven't made it to Pisa, yet...

Yeah, it's definately a day trip place. I called in on my way from Rome to Cinque Terre, it was nice to see, but i don't think i'd spend any extended amount of time there.
