I will be travelling to Europe in a couple of weeks, and apart from my first two destinations (Scotland and Amsterdam) I am rather unsure of where else to go. My plan is to head south once things turn cold up north, and I have been debating whether to spend some time in the south of France or head straight into Spain. I have been favouring the latter idea. So, I plan on entering Spain near San Sebastian, and then doing a little swoop over to the Meditteranean(pardon the spelling) Coast. But from there I am stuck. I want to head east along the coast over to Italy and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on towns to stay in along the Med.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Cinque Terra, Italy. In the Italian Riviera, the five villages that make up Cinque Terra are Monterroso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Definitely worth looking into.
