I'm going to Rome, Florence, all over Belgium, Amsterdam and Paris. I will be gone for 30 days. Any advice, suggestions??? I'm in my early 30's and will be traveling alone. Any assistance is appreciated.

Paris: Go to the Moulin Rouge Strip. Its in the Montemart area. Major partying with dozens and dozens of clubs on this one road with the Moulin Rouge. The partying goes on till sun rise. If you try a crepe then make sure you dont buy it near a toursit site. You can save money and buy better ones away from an attraction site.

Rome:"Gillati" icecreams are all relitivly the same price anywhere in the city. If you are going to to get on and your on a budget then the best thing to do is just buy from the place that looks best to you.

Stay at the top rated hostel on HostelWorld.com or hostel.com, the Tpunk hostel search uses those sites. Make sure it has a bar. The bar acts as a common room and makes it so much easier for you to meet people, especially since you will be traveling alone.

Shop around when yu get to your destination, find the cheap places to buy the same items ie: water, food, souvenirs. In most palces you can buy a liter of water for one euro right outside the trainsation or where ever. But if you walk two blocks behind it you will be able to buy the smae thing for 25 cents.

Have fun and remember to enjoy your travels. Good Luck! Best of wishes from the Tpunk community!

I remember in Florence this restaurant called Drako's I think... They let me order a pizza to go for 4 euro's ( its cheaper when you order to go) and it was the best pizza I expierenced in all of italy... I tried to order to go in Rome and no one would do it.

If you have extra time in Italy, I would hit Cinque Terre also.

Thank you so much for the advise...It helps tremendously. I do have a question that I'm kind of curious about. My digital camera holds about 340 pics. Is there general places that I can download the pics to a disc to have more room on the camera. I know I can go to Walgreen's or Walmart here and do this. Any suggestions?

Kind regards,
Sheila

You can either buy another big memory card or you can take it to camera shops or internet cafes to have it burned to a cd. Camera shops are easy to find as they have Kodak and Fuji signs hanging from them. I would recommend getting another memory card since it will be useful on future trips as well!

Most all internet cafes will be able to burn them. Like foofiter said photo shops will burn them as well. The cost will be around 5 dollars for a cd. Some places cheaper some more.
