Starting in September is the shoulder season for tourism and that's when prices drop. Everyone's going back to school and ending their vacations. Plus, it is a great time as everyone agreed, the weather is beautiful. Perfect time if you don't have other obligations. My parents spent a week and half in Ireland last September and got much better weather than we did in June. Plus they had a fabulous time and saved a lot on airfare. We're going to be flying back to the states at the beginning of September, since the different between Aug 31 and Sept 1 was huge.
