Next summer I'll be there for 10 weeks on an externship through my culinary school. My chef at work leads it, and he goes there every summer, and has for about 9-10 years.
The restaurants and hotels (according to him) are some of the best (read: most expensive) in Italy. I've seen his pictures of the area, and I gotta admit, DAMN! Can't wait to go.
While you are there, sample a few Amalfi lemons. We make granita out of them at work, and they are FAR better than regular lemons...
