Hey all,
I'm planning a trip to Europe (Western/Southern) for this coming summer. In addition to checking out the urban scene, I'm a bit of an outdoors nut so I'm craving some of that natural beauty. I'd appreciate any advice regarding must-see wilderness anywhere in Europe no matter how far off the beaten trail.
Cheers,
McGee

Wow...there are so many great places..
My favorite place was the Pyrenees and of course the Alps. Portugal and Northern Italy have great hiking and such...but the list could go on and on...
Happy Trails

Hmm...just about every country has some good scenery. My favorites may be:
Amalfi Coast -- Italy (deep blue water and gorgeous seaside towns).
Coast of Cornwall -- there is hiking path that goes all the way around the coast (crashing waves, quaint seaside towns).
Swiss Alps -- can't specify as it's been a l-o-n-g time ago.
Provence/Mediterranean France -- hilltop towns, great Mediterranean scenery, castles, Roman bridges...
I'm sure there's more I can't think of right now...!

asturias spain. outside of slamanca called castaneda de los montanas or somehting. you arrive in a town and hike for about an hour out to this stream with a waterfall and a natural pool you jump in. its amazing. go to the mester school in salamnca and ask a guy named carlos about it...he will tell where to go.
aran island off of galway
asturias asturias, take the feve train or a bus along the coast between santiago de compostela and santander, stop anywhere except for guijon, its amazing indeed
