I'm going to be in Europe for about 5 weeks and was wondering if anyone had any advice on the eurorail. I want to visit some of the smaller cities and am wondering how easy transportation is. Any advice would be helpful because I'm traveling alone. Thanks

where abouts are you looking to head to? Let me know and I can check what the train situation is like.

I will be starting in Finland and working my way south. I'm planning on ending up in Italy. I will be hitting up right around 10 cities but maybe a couple more if I can fit it in. My plans are Finland, Sweeden, Denmark, Amsterdamn, Germany, Prague, Vienna and Italy.

Well Eurail is valid in all those places except for Czech Republic so I'd say you would be best to buy a Eurail Pass of some type. The big thing is how much you will be travelling in the 5 weeks.

Probably your best option would be a flexipass which allows you to travel for either 10 or 15 days with a 2 month period. I'd say go for the 10 day flexi pass and you should be set.

I'd go with the 10 day flexi, but if you got the $ then go with the 15 day b/c it's always good to have some cushion in case you need some extra rides or decide to deviate and visit some other cities which is very possible.

Wasn't able to find anything on Eastrail...
