Default Lisbon to Barcelona, the quick trip version.

So I'm flying into Lisbon on Sept 29th. Figured I'd stay there for the day, then go down to Faro and then on to Sevilla.

I'm having trouble finding online the bus and train schedules for those trips. Anyone know a good site to look at?

In Sevilla I'm renting a car and driving around southern Spain for a bit, then on up to Valencia to meet the gf. I'll stay with her for a couple days and then head on to Barcelona.

Watch the WRC, maybe take a day trip somewhere near France, then fly out on October 7th.

It's a quick trip, but I need it badly, plus I've never been to Portugal or Spain.

So what are the must see sights on that route? I figure Gibraltar and Alhambra, but what else?

New (awesome) job, so the RTW trip will have to wait.

I always used http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en for train information and times. It's a German site, but they cover most of Europe.

By the way, renting a car in Spain can be a lot of fun. I picked one up with a couple of guys from one of the hostels, and drove all over the country. There are lots of smaller beach towns and places you'd never see if you weren't driving. Make sure you budget for everything though, fuel is expensive and if you take some of the highways you have to pay tolls fairly often.

Thanks, I'll check that site out when I get home.

The renting the car part was pretty much my main reason for doing such a long (distance) trip in such a short time. Now I'll at least get to stop and look at stuff as I drive by it. And since I have a nice new job, I have some extra money to play with for this trip.

...yar...
