During the first two weeks of July I will be taking my brother on a trip to Netherlands/Belgium/Paris and possibly the Rhine (itinerary subject to change, as always). I have been to each of these places and have done the Van Gogh, beer and mussels, Lourve and D' Orsay.....and gotten very drunk on a boat from Koblenz to Rudesheim.
I'm looking for some very cool out of the way possibly small, maybe big towns or sights that I might miss!!! What were your favorites?? Any recommendations of hostels would also be a major major help.
Just a little info....I love travelling in Europe and my favorite activity is to do NOTHING......just sit at a cafe with a beer/wine and watch the people walk by. So no need to recommend bungee jumping or rock climbing ha ha ha ha!!!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated and love the site!! Thanks

I am more of a big city guy but I hit Nijmegen, in the Netherlands for a couple of days, I really enjjoyed it, and got to hit a huge market in the town center, which was cool. People were friendly. I stayed at the Mesdag B&B.

It was a couple hours by train from Amsterdam, and your actually not to far from the Luxembourg border if ya wanna throw that into your trip.
