Finding Irish people
Hope this is the right place to post this... I'm going to Ireland in a few months and it struck me that i know a lot of Irish people, but I lost touch with all of them. Do you guys know if there's a way to search for Irish people? Like a special search engine or something? A national phone book or something like that (though this wouldnt be the best option 'cause I'd need their folk's name...)?.
They're all in their early 20s...
Thnx!!

For that age group (or any, I guess), MySpace would be a good place to start.

If they come from a small town and you know the name it could be easy enough just look up the town and find a phone number for the local shop/pub and ask do ya know such and such a one, if they don't they'll know the family at least.
Collages sometimes put up profiles of their students. Boards.ie is the largest Irish forum it might be worth trying there.

Thanks guys! I've tried a bit through the phone book... so far I only got one friend's phone, and I'm sure it's her dad's house, so that's fine. MySpace is of no use 'cause almost 95% of the users are from the US.
I'll give the boards a try. Thnx!

Hey now that's not right, you forgot whiskey, vodka and cider.
Hot Eire is a farly small forum, there's not many of us on there and we won't take any requests seriously. Are you on that board mbo108?
A really good way to find Irish people would be to contact the ray d'arcy show on www.todayfm.com they love weird requests like that.
