Hey Guys,
Well the ticket is booked into Athens, landing 28 Feb. My travel agent said I may have a problem with Greek customs when I land, seeing as how the ticket is a one way ticket. She said I should try and book a ticket on a train or ferry before I land in Athens. Now that obviously makes sense to me, however as I'll have a 3 month Eurail pass in my hot little hands would that be sufficient evidence to prove that i will be moving on out of Greece? I'd assume the Eurail pass is enough but what the general consensus? |
I have a similar situation-- Have a four and a half month stay in Europe, into and out of Paris, and no proof other than my Eurail pass of onward destinations. I'm right now playing phone tag with the french embassy regarding this question. I suspect I may need to apply for a visa for such a long stay, but time will tell.

Well, things may be different with Greece gearing up for the Olympics, but I doubt it. I can honestly say that the only country (out of 52) I have been to where they wanted to see my tickets was Israel. I'd say the Eurail pass will be sufficient. Same with France, too. They're used to backpackers in Europe...
