So with it being Anzac Day and all, I went to the dawn service and I was thinking about the tradition and everything and realised I wont be in Australia for Anzac day next year (europe woohoo!) so I was wondering if Anzac day services are held anywhere in europe and thought of the possibility of actually going to Gallipoli.. I know there would be like a million people there but it's something I would like to do at some point in my life... I have a brochure for a few tours in turkey that include Anzac Cove but all the short, cheap ones that I want to do aren't available on Anzac day and you have to do a whole week long 'anzac journey' thing that costs way too much for my budget. Has anyone ever been to gallipoli? I think it would be a cool thing to do but wondering whether its worth the effort
(btw, I guess this question is mainly for aussies, I understand a lot of people probably dont know what I'm on about)
