when are you going and is it eastern europe or central europe that you are going? Most people tend to throw poland, czech rep and hungary in eastern europe but its actually central europe.
If you are going to C.E in Oct/Nov a rain jacket would be a good idea. I remember Poland had really heavy snow in November and yet Hungary didnt have any until January so it depends on what countries you are visiting

ok well when i was in C.E in October it was still pretty warm we were still wearing tshirts because it was around 17 degrees celsius. I wouldnt expect extreme cold around this time just bring waterproofs

When I was in Poland in October, I had some pretty damn cold days. So, be prepared! And I imagine you could find cold weather gear there, but walking around in the cold looking for a local market may not be fun...
