Hey all...its been awhile since ive been on here...anywho im going back to europe this summer in ma y-doing 10 days of mission work in Romania, then flying out of Rome on the 31st. So the question is should we go east, down through istanbul, greece, then ferry boat over to italy...or west, croatia, greece then boat over...anyone with any experience with any of this at all? Im also gonna need to find some info on these alleged greece/croatia to italy ferrie boats, so if anyone knows anything about this let me know-thanks guys!

There are no ferries from Greece to Croatia, however there are ferries that can take you from ports like Patras or Corfu in Greece to Bari, Ancona or Trieste in Italy. Getting to Croatia from there should be no problem as there are plenty of sea ports linking Croatia and Italy. As for the greek ferries I reccomend you check out "Anek Lines"

Croatia is GORGEOUS!! I was there in November and I am totally in love, can't wait to see it in the summer time, some day. I highly recommend Dubrovnik & Opatije. People are so nice, lots of them speak english, there's plenty of cheap shopping (same great italian leather, at croatian prices)

I've not been to Greece, but I have heard from others who have been to both places that Croatia is so much nicer than Greece. That Greece is not as clean, and is overrun by tourists.
