Yes, definitely still go. People go alone ALL the time and have absolutely no problems meeting up with people, especially in hostels. I'm sure there'll be a few Tpunkers around at the time - check out the itinerary and traveling companions wanted section. Anyhow, yes. Go.

There will be TONS of people to hang out with. Go. You may end up having more fun by yourself than if your buddy came along. ;)
