I stayed in a 3 person private room (in the Green building) with my friends (only drawback is that you only get a single key between the 3 of you) on the 4th floor (no elevator, so by the end of the trip you legs get a good workout). We arrived at 3am, since our plane from Paris was running late, but a quick phone call from the airport ensured that someone was waiting for us at reception. The hostel staff was friendly and helpful - they always advised us well.

The hostel is away from the busy/touristy downtown, but this makes for a much quieter area with a lot less drunks stumbling around at 3am. The access from the metro is easy enough to find and there are even signs hanging on the lamp posts pointing out the way. There is also a tram running in the area if you wish to go in a different direction then the metro.

The room was good, with skylights in the roof for lighting (wicked view on the surrounding areas) and there was plenty of room to spread out and move around. The linens were clean and the beds fairly comfortable. The breakfast was satisfying, but not spectacular. The shared showers and bathrooms were spacious and cleaned daily. The kitchen is fully equipped, but it's dining area is not huge - in that case you can always go up to the bearkfast area and eat there.

Just up the street there is a little local grocery store where you can get the basics if you decide to cook for yourself. There are also a few small restaurants in the area where you can eat a good meal for a fraction of the price you would spend in the Old Town (eg: for a 0.5L of beer you will pay ~20KC instead of 60-100KC in the more touristy areas). I would reccommend 'U Sv. Anny' (sp?) about 5min walk up the street.
