Default Living on a Greek Island.

i'm in the early stages of planning a european adventure.

i spent a couple of weeks in greece back in 2003, and fell in love with the country, especially the various islands i visited.

my aspiration is to spend a few months living and working on one of the islands. (santorini, mykonos, patmos, rhodes etc.)

anyone have an idea how much monthly rent on a one bedroom apartment would go for?

also, transportation to get to islands?

thanks.

I've no idea about the rental prices, but might you consider just renting a room in a private home? That would no doubt be less expensive than a whole apartment (I'm guessing most flats would be leased to summer rentals and not so reasonable), and you'd have the advantage of meeting locals, learning the language, and participating in daily life.
