Well, I guess I'll post something here...

)
My question is concerning luggage. And my question is very specific, but maybe other people maybe will have the same situation in the future.
I came to Russia with a large piece of luggage months ago- in total the weight is about 35kg, back before I planned to back-pack around for a month. This load is unfortunately not a back-pack, though it does have nifty rollers
. I was wondering if it would be possible to ditch my luggage and travel light for my month trip through Eastern Europe. When it is time to head home I'll pick up my 35kg load and head out. Is there a place that would hold luggage for around a month safely? Anybody who has done something like this before? Maybe an airport or train station? I have somebody who has offered to hold it in Russia, but those visa fees to re-enter are expensive.
Also another question I just thought of. I don't have an atm card with me. I am already overseas and my home bank is thousands of miles away. Therefore, I need to rely on money transfers (I think). However I don't want to get stuck with exchanging $100 bills for currency in a country I may end up spending only a day or two. Any suggestions will be a large help. Thanks for your time. I have learned a lot from this site, keep up the good work!
