I'm planning on going across the US this summer on Greyhound. I live in Delaware and I plan on stopping in Outer Banks, NC; Miama; New Orleans; Dallas; Roswell, AZ; the Grand Canyon; Vegas; San Francisco; Seattle; NYC; and Toronto. I want to see if any one is interested or if anyone has adivce that has taken a Greyhound cross country. I'm looking into getting a Greyhound Discovery pass for 21 days and start around July 5th. I need to be home by August 6th so that should give me time. The pass is I believe 350 and I plan on staying in hostels or cheap hotels throughout. Anyone who wants to comment please do so.

I would like to ask you more about greyhound... I believe this is an alternitive to getting around the states, as apposed to buying an RV for 3 months.
I want to be chillin right down the west coast, but also want to see a few other places in the middle and on the east coast, as well as mexico.
Ill be floating down from canada way, where i believe greyhound has operations up there to.
Let me know how ya go.

Well the Discovery Pass lets you use any Grayhound bus and then like 5 other companies. It's about 50 dollars extra to travel into Canada or Mexico, I'll find out tonight about the actual cost.
You can buy a pass for 5-60 days I believe. You can ride the Greyhound or the other companies for whatever amount of time you brought.
As far as coming down from Canada I'm not sure how that would work. Since you want to go all over North America I'd say buy the three country pass...but I'm not sure about the costs of that, I'll check tonight also.
I was planning to go down the east coast for a few days (maybe 5) then heading towards the west coast for two weeks before heading back home. Let me know.
