In July I'm competing in a charity event called The Mongol Rally. Basically i'm driving 8000 miles to Mongolia in a 20 year old, 970cc car.
This is to raise money for two charities- Send A Cow (
http://www.sendacow.org.uk/ ), who supply poor African farmers with livestock and training and The Christina Noble Childrens Foundation (
http://www.cncf.org/ ) who provide healthcare, shelter
and education for street kids in Mongolia.
In order to raise money for these charity's (We have to raise at least £1000) I'm holding an eBay auction.
A bundle of rare goodies is up for grabs including signed t-shirts and CDs from artists such as Million Dead, Rueben, Frank Turner, Public Relations Exercise and Short Term Effect amongst others.
If you don't like the auction contents but are still feeling generous then you can donate to our team at
http://www.justgiving.com/mongol
This goes directly to the charity so you know we're not scamming you and if you're a UK taxpayer then the charities can claim Gift Aid back (an extra 28% - if you donate £10 the charity gets £12.82)
Please dig deep for this great cause, even if you only donate a few quid - it's less than the cost of a pint!
