First off; GO HERE!! It was hands down the best place we've stayed. We walked in the door and were greeted with beers and the best company you can find! John and Jana (along with their son William) run an awesome guesthouse and are more than helpful with local attractions!
The guesthouse (because its way more than a hostel) is located about 50m (1/2 block) from the entrance to the trail that takes you to the top of the second highest point in Central America, Mt Chirripò. The guesthouse features internet access, international calls using Skype, warm showers, hot baths, 3 common areas (2 of which are outside), warm blankets, kitchen use, orthepedic mattresses, laundry service, home cooked meals upon request, and free coffee & tea! They also can arrange trout fishing, horse back riding and massages! You can't beat that after trekking to Chirripò!
We only stayed two nights at the guesthouse but it was VERY hard for us to leave! And even worse to go back to work the next day at the farm!
