Well after some serious consideration, and sleepless nights racking my brain on what to do about this trip I have coming up, I have finaly made up my mind. And Cuba will be my destination.

I am flying into Havana and spening a couple days there, then I will take the train south to where ever my feet take me. I plan on trek'n all they way to the most southern tip at Punta da Quemado. I will be avoiding resorts like the plaque!
I will be heading down to Guantanamo as well, where I can look into the US base there from a certain point on a hill side.
There are some 350 islands around the Isle de la Juventud, most have no one on them, so my goal is to spend at least one night on my own beach on my own island. Its not easy to find someone with a boat to take me, but this is possible to do, so wish me luck.

I will be staying in private rooms every night, and getting to know people and making contacts through out my trip. Man I can not wait!!!!

Oh ya, I am not going in Sept anymore...Because of certain family issue, those dates were not good enough anymore...sooooo...I will be leaving next Thursday for my trip and will be gone 9 days!!! Man this is amazing!!!!

Sounds awesome! I'm jealous, since the travel ban for us Yanquis is supposedly being fully enforced nowadays.

I know it takes place mostly in Puerto Rico, but if you haven't already, I recommend reading Hunter S. Thompson's The Rum Diary for a little adventure inspiration before you head off!

YA I know the time change is a bit sudden, but with the baby coming and my house move around the same time, the timing was just not so good.

So I can not wait folks, just a few days and I will be flying into Havana...I really am up in the air on what I am going to do when I get there, but I sure I will make out ok

I am sure there will be tons of stories!! I will try to get online, but its not quite that easy, internet cafe are few and far betwenn down there, but I will do my best.

that is great CD, have fun in cuba.

That is my next trip plan that is suppose to happen in Sept. or Oct. or Nov.

but with all this politics going on with cuba, that mexico, and the u.s have going, I dont know if it will be hard for me to go that way.

If you can keep an eye out for me on how or if it is hard for me to visit cuba, I will really appreciate it.
