Hi there,

have just decided that i am going to visit Costa Rica in Mid March for 2 weeks. Just found out i have a friend living in San Jose so am going to fly out from Scotland to visit. Thing is, its not that far away and i know very little about what i should see and where i should travel. Thinking of staying in San Jose for some of the time and travelling and sightseeing with my friend on the weekends as she will be working. During the week was thinking of doing a tour? Can anyone suggest reputable companies or am i better waiting til i get there to arrange something.
Im a female and will be travelling on my own...is this safe? Im not worried about it at all but have to put the folks minds to rest when i tell em im going.
How much should i allow for spending money? Is it relatively cheap to travel, eat etc in Costa Rica?
