Just wanted to give good ol' canada a post. it's the only country/region without one! Born and raised Vancouverite here. Ask a question if you want. :D

Let me just say that Vancouver is one of my favorite cities! A fantastic city surrounded by water and mountains.

I grew up in Seattle and have been there many times. I was up there about a year and a half ago (the first time in about 6 years) and I couldnīt believe how different it looked. Much busier, new stores, restaurants, culturally diverse, etc...

Stanley Park is was of the nicest parks on the planet, as far as Iīm concerned. Black squirrels and Beluga whales, two things that Iīve never seen anywhere else.

Itīs close to Whistler ski resort, for all you ski lovers. Victoria BC. Is the drinking age 18 or 19 still?

I read an article the other night that showed Vancouver as one of the best places in the world to live (I believe thats what it said).

And how bout that show "The Tourist!" Good stuff! Itīs the only comedy/travel show that I watch in Madrid(satellite)!

You live in a great place, Diorama. I think this post might cause a big spike in Vancouvers tourism! :D

haha yes this post definately has potential for boosting vancouvers tourism. I'm doing my part for the economy I suppose. i actually just got a job in the tourism industry working for grayline. So now I have to go on all these tours (whistler, victoria and around vancouver) for free, just so I know what they're like. Yup I have a tough life Sadly I;ve only been to Seattle once. And I was only eleven so I can't really remember the trip that well. I do remember I stayed at the Doubletree Inn, saw a mariners game, and went to tony romas for dinner. That bout does it with my memory.Yeah the drinking age in BC is 19 so we have all these american boys (yes BOYS) invading our clubs and getting wasted every weekend. Yay for me.

laterz,

j.

Well, donīt you just have the life

I think you should take the Grayline down, 2 hours south, to see what youīve been missing! If you like live music, sports, the great outdoors (hiking, camping, water skiing, blah, blah, blah...), the Mariners, food...Seattleīs where itīs at!
But, then again, it kinda sounded like I just named off Vancouver( minus the Mariners)!

Yeah, and them boyz are thinking..."Canadian chicks, yay!" Thatīs what Iīm talking about!
