Hey Who's done the high sierra's ?? That is one of my favorite places to do the backcountry thing.. pristine alpine lakes, above the tree line, and very few people... a great place in july... water really cold though.... trout everywhere.. i did mount whitney in 1997 , a lot easier then expected... bears mountain lions and golden easgles. the tits!

that's a new one.

yeah, i've really been wanting to go hike in northern california but have yet to do it. there is so many beautiful places there when it comes to the outdoors. i'll look into the high sierra. thanks for the good review.

yea, mount whitney is certainly on my (our) to do list...probably do rainer first though.
