Okay...so i was upgrading my hiking gear, bought an 80L pack which is awesome and a 2pesron tent which is fairly compact but... i have a problem fitting my sleeping bag and tent on/in the backpack. With my smaller backpack I used to just strap my sleeping bag outside of it at the bottom. But with this big one it would just be way too low if i strapped it near the bottom, besides it looks really wrong ergonomically!! ...and just so u know my sleeping bag is fairly big (mummy style -12 ) i thought it's unreasonably big but i've looked at other ones and they all seem to be around the same size. Besides, i think the big size is mostly air but can't get it all out and keep it that way.
any suggestions would be very greatly appreciated

With an 80L pack you shouldn't have any problems with this... weird!!
I'd say put the tent in first, then shove the sleeping bag (does the sack compress at all?) down next to it. Then shove everything else on top of it.
Notice the key word "shove"...

I know what you mean about the bag under the pack - that was very awkward and unstable. We eventually left it inside (we had lightweight very small [less than 1 pound, about the size of a loaf of bread compressed]) sleeping bags and had the tent strapped to the outside. You may want to consider getting some kind of compression sack for your bag to get the air out.

okay! tried "shoving" it in, it worked but now i'm left with 40 litres of that 80L thanks for the ideas tho....i'm sure there's other ways around it too, it's just that the mathematical portion of my brain is sorta dead right now but i'll figure it out one day

Okay, so... what exactly is the problem?? A tent and sleeping bag is almost always going to take up half of your pack. You still have almost as much as my entire backpack (48L) in which to put the rest of your stuff.

You do have a point it's just that I was really excited to own a huge backpack like that and when almost half of it got taken up by the sleeping bag my baloon busrt!

have you tried taking the sleeping back out of its own little bag( if it has one) and just squeezing it in any gaps you may find, maybe don't roll it so its not so compact,
plus have you tried seperating the various tent parts, like putting pegs and poles pockets ect.

^ first one i tried, that's how i managed to fit it in there in the first place. The tent...hmmm...haven't tried it yet but that'll defenitely work. I was thinking to strap the tent near the top (guess i'm not supposed to do that weight-distributing-wise ) 'cuz it's smaller than my sleeping bag!
