*Ok, so rather than have all the climbing discussions in the
Climbing Gear topic, I thought I'd take my posts to do with climbing, and not Climbing gear specifically, anb put them in a general climbing topic, also for reasons of continuity, i've taken any posts that are directed towards non-techy/gear posts and put them here*
so, yeah, i love climbing, Every thing about it, the movement, the adrealine, the Freedom, the Glory.
so i thought i'd give this topic a bump
any way, few months i've been bouldering with a friend and my sister, the climbing scene isn't massive here
, but we've done the best we can. Any way it turns out Laxey Beach has some good Crag, which is much better than the eroded and weathered sea cliff (low grade spotted slate
) we've been trying to climb, and for the last 4 days i've been trying to get a First ascent on this one problem, I've managed to get afew other FA's in the area (since I was the first there and had a bit of a solo session
).
But this one Problem gets me, No overhang, a couple of jugs half way up, and 3 toe holds for the first 2 moves, then palm slaps for about 3 ft before topping out. On my third attempt yesterday (before my sister was there to spot
) I got to the half way point (my left foot into the last major hold before commiting to the last 3 or 4 ft - about 7 ft) then, i lost my focus, and my right foot, falling the 7 ft, I was fine when I landed, I wasn't when my sister got to me
.
Any way, I will head out tomorow, I will take a Camera,
AND I WILL HAVE THAT PROPBLEM SOLVED
