I was looking around the web for a new hull bag since I apparantly left mine at the range and came across this:
Galco Safekeeper
Looks alot more convenient and comfortable (for guys anyway) than a money belt. 4"W x 3 3/8"H should let it fit a passport easily as well.

It would be good for a passport but I put all my credit cards and money and tickets in my money belt. It is less comfortable but I am willing to sacrifice that for safety. It would also be harder to get at that type of pouch when you needed something and wish to be discrete about it. Still a good find tho!

well I'm still on the fence about it myself but I think nothing is less discrete than pulling up your shirt to unstrap your moneybelt, looks like this thing you just pull it up out of the inside of your pants by that little plastic clip, should be just as simple as pulling something out of your pocket. Does look like it won't hold that much though, I'd probablly still keep alot of stuff in a moneybelt or something and just a bit of cash and a credit card in this thing, I just hate keeping anything in my pockets while walking around with a pack and getting up under your shirt to get at the moneybelt everytime you want to buy a beer or a pack of smokes or something is impractical and looks goofy.
I guess I should have titled the tread "better than a wallet" cause yeah, I guess this couldn't totally replace my moneybelt, but it would be a nice addition to it.

yeah, I know, thats the only reason I'm not jumping on ordering one right now I think. On the other hand all their gun leather stuff is top-notch, some of the best out there. Most cops use their holsters and whatnot. Maybe I'll email them and try and get the specs about what kind of plastic the clip is made of.

I had one just like that last year it was great.
mine was a little bigger than that looks, could fit loads of stuff in it but the more you put in the more it stands out if you have thin trousers. it was also a little bit funny to get it out at a cash point you may look like your getting your dick out lol.
i matched that with a great belt with a zip on the inside and you fold notes into it, i was generally carying over 300 euro around so i really didnt want to lose it. the two together were really good, the only disadvantage i found was when full coz i put far top much stuff in it it could look like you had a stiffy as it tended to slide round over the day, or you would sit on it and regret putting keys in it.

hey, so was it the exact same one or a different one?? if it was different then is there any chance you can post a link to it?? I mean I know that in the shooting world Galco is top notch stuff but this is a wierd item so I'm definitly open to other options but I still kind of dig the general idea here.

Here is my setup

the belt i not exactly the same mine had a longer zip, so basicly i could fold notes all the way along the belt and just unzip it a little and pull out a 50 Euro it was great and could even be operated when drunk, although i did find when very drunk it was a little more problematic and often i forgot it was there which helped stop me spend even more on drink.
Oh another tip for smokers is put a few notes in a fag packet, aparently if a pick pocket feels a fag pockt they often just leave it.

If you are interested... I had light weight pants I made Two pockets in them one for my cash that i would need for the day at the top and one on the side of my leg for all my important info. ie. passport, plain tickets, credit card that was not in use. It would be hard to do with jeans but i loved it and I still wear the pants and use the pockets at home.
