Hey, Welcome to Tpunk...
Dana Design packs are great in my opinion! They have one of the best support systems as far as frame and comfort. They especially work for me as I am tall and thin, and they evenly disribute the weight...I sound like a spokes person. Anyhow, I have a glacier, and used to use the bombpack.
Check out this link for Far Flung on Sale fo $99!!!!

I went with the swift travlor. The bag that I had been using before was a cheap JansSport that has seen better days. I had gotten it as a gift when I was younger and have been using it mostly for hiking and small weekend trips. It got shredded one one of my last trips in the woods though and was time for a new one. It wasn't until I really started looking at bags that I realized how much nicer and more advanced they really were.
Some of the things I like already about the Swift is things like the zippers are nice and big (my winter hiking with gloves was a pain before) or the back braces and adjusting of almost everything imaginable. The material seems a lot tougher and nicer than before , it was almost like a big school backpack with my JS. The braces and sizes of both interior and exterior spacing is nice too. Not to mention it has the duffelbag attachemtn that lets me package it all up nicely on the busses and planes.
