Do you recommend a pair of hiking shoes or a pair of running shoes?

it's personal preference really.
whichever is more comfortable to you.
take into consideration the type of terrain you'll be walking on, if you need special support or features in the shoe and make your decision.

I have hiking boots. But i think that i'm just gonna take a really good pair of running shoes instead, cause runners aren't as heavy and depending on colour and style, comfort, and support i think runners will fit my outfits better. lol

Yeah I would agree with it being your preference. The only reason I'm taking my hiking shoes instead of my runners is that well...my runners are on their own last leg and probably won't surivive more than a month of wear anyways. But my hiking shoes are just as comfy and neutral in colour and I like them too.
