I'll be in Europe for 7 weeks this summer backpacking/training/hostelling around and will require a pack:

After much research/reading/probing, I've narrowed it down to 2 packs:

Eagle Creek Ultimate Explorer LT:

Dana Design Far Flung:

What do you guys think?

Far Flung all the way. I've heard so many people who have Eagle Creek packs complain about the daypack (having it on when pack is full, and getting it on and off). There is also a larger version of the Far Flung called the Swift Traveler.

You might also check out the Marmot Egier 45 or 55

I'm with KCL...go with the FarFlung. It's sturdy, well made and a great pack!
