Hi everyone. This is my first post here, even though I've been lurking for a little while and I must say this site has been very helpful. I'm planning my trip to Europe for May this year and I wanted to know some opinions on the Outbound brand backpacks.
My parents bought me one for Christmas almost 7 or 8 years ago now. Back when I was in Scouts and big into camping etc. Its a womens fit pack that loads from the top and the side, it has an internal frame and a padded back along with awhole bunch of straps hanging off itwhose purpose are still unknown to me. (So many!) As old as the pack is, I've barely used it. The only real strain on it was a few camping trips here and there over the years, but nothing is broken ripped or even worn in anyway. What I'm concerned about is the lack of attachable day pack and the fact that inside there arnt really any compartments, its basicly one big open space. I figure I could just use another backpack for a daypack and just make sure it fits inside the big one along with everything else, but i'm still a little worried. I'm going to say it is probably the older version of This Any idea if this will be good enough? I'm going for about 25 days and I would like to use it because my money situation really isn't going to let me buy a new one. |
welcome
KCL will have some sought of an answer for ya he knows his stuff |
The pack looks decent enough, and I wouldn't worry to much about having a removable daypack. I don't reall know much about the brand, but the specs online look OK. The main thing is to load it up and wear it for an hour or so and see how it feels.
