Thumbs up

Hey all!

Another newbie here, I've just started to research packs and will hopefully leave for 2 months in Europe this summer. Anyway, at this point I've narrowed it down to the Dana Swift Traveler and Marmont Femme Nikita. I've also looked at the Ultimate Explorer, but I have a feeling this will be to big and bulky for me. That's the catch---I'm really small (5'2, 100 lbs)--I have this fear that I'll fall backwards in the middle of a train station and won't be able to get up! I guess my question is when comparing the ST and FN should I take the "women's pack" into consideration? Does it really make it easier if your a girl? Or would I be just as good to buy a "unisex" pack?

If you're that small I'd recommend going with a women's pack. I'm 5'2 as well and I have the small size Marmot Femme Nikita, which I love... but even if there was an anvil in the sucker I still wouldn't fall over. Give yourself more credit-- the backpacks are well-balanced to let you carry a fairly heavy load comfortably, without falling over like a turtle. :D
