I have an absolutely horrid travel towel. its a "Micronet" travel towel that is ultra light and very packable. It's 100% polyester. DO NOT get this one. What a waste of $20!! I am gonna take a normal towel. I leave on Saturday. This will take up more room in my bag but its like drying off with a pillow case. It gets soaked very fast and then gets cold because of all the water.

Yeah, I gota similar one to Kyle's for about $5 from a military surplus shop.. some German brand. Worked out GREAT - only trouble was the first couple of times I used it, it smelled like chicken fat burning on a BBQ... seriously!

Hehe yeah I had a super absorbent towel, it kind of got stinky after a while and then I left it somewhere. I started using a sarong which worked well. In Morocco a native Berber loved it because of the colours and wanted it as a gift for his mum. So it got traded for a berber towel which I then left at another hostel. I lasted the rest of my trip with an old shirt.

great random titbits, yay!
