here is a pic of these shoes for my trip. i shouldn't be doing anything super rough, but i want something that with be comfortable and sturdy, yet pass a loose dress code. i don't think i will be spending much time in fancy schmancy places, so would these get by most dress codes with a pair of khakis over them?

those look pretty comfortable and decently nice looking how much were they and who makes them. sorry I can't tell you if it would pass dress codes

Clarks are great! They're among the most comfy shoes out there.

As for passing for dressy - yeah, you'll be fine with those almost everywhere. I've worn more active-looking shoes to places w/ a "no trainers" policy and gotten away with it.
